"Our goal is to transform Indonesia from a 'country that sends citizens abroad for medical treatment' to a 'provider of high-quality local healthcare'. This transformation cannot be achieved without in-depth cross-industry and international exchanges and cooperation. The Asia Medical Week provides us with a brand-new platform to shape a new paradigm for medicine, and it also allows us to see the boundless prospects of digital and intelligent healthcare through the innovative experiences of top hospitals and medical enterprises in China." On September 13, the Overseas Session of the 8th Asia Medical Week - Asia Medical Innovation and Development Forum was grandly held in Indonesia. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Health of Indonesia, attended the opening ceremony of the conference online and emphasized this point.

This year also marks the 8th consecutive year that Mindray has supported and participated in the Asia Medical Week. Over the past 8 years, Mindray has witnessed the deepening and solid advancement of exchanges and cooperation among medical institutions and various industry forces in Asian countries. Meanwhile, as an important participant in the global health cause, Mindray has also focused on capacity co-building, joined hands with partners from all sectors, and continuously built an efficient, inclusive and resilient medical community. Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health shows that 32,000 additional specialists are needed each year to fill the gap in medical talents in the country, but the actual number of new specialists is only 2,700. To address the shortage of medical staff, the Indonesian Ministry of Health has used Mindray's RayCloud++ platform to achieve interconnection with primary medical institutions, breaking geographical restrictions and allowing doctors to conduct remote ultrasound training anytime and anywhere. Lippo Group, Indonesia's largest private medical group, has established a long-term cooperative relationship with Mindray and actively deployed Mindray's digital and intelligent solutions to comprehensively improve the intelligent operation and management of core departments such as operating rooms, intensive care units and emergency departments in many of its hospitals. Mayapada Group, the largest private hospital in Indonesia, has also used Mindray's RayInsight Laboratory Solution to achieve comprehensive data integration for laboratory management across its 6 campuses and unified management of reagents, quality control and talent training. In 2022, under the witness of Mr. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Health of Indonesia, Mindray's Indonesia factory officially started operation, realizing the local production of medical equipment such as infusion pumps and operating tables in Indonesia. Recently, ventilators and anesthetic machines co-manufactured by Mindray and local enterprise GTM have also rolled off the production line smoothly, further enhancing Indonesia's independent production capacity of medical devices.

These schools have helped more than 1,000 young physicians and boosted the rapid development of basic ultrasound education in Southeast Asia.
